The Language of Memory (Subjectivity of Perception) series evolved from studies of trees completed in situ and subsequently transformed, through a process of iteration and investigation, into indeterminate forms recording the memory of place. Using ink, graphite and acrylic paint built up upon layers of untreated silk, the process aims to build a personal language with which to explore the experience of being physically present, questioning the subjectivity of our individual experiences.
